[nova elaine charis]

• born april eleventh, to jane and rian charis. she is the first born and the only child so far. her parents weren't looking to have children in the first place, because they were afraid of what would happen. novalee was sort of an experiment, to see if their children would be 'gifted' like both of grandparents were. it skipped a generation however, and all her father has is a slight hyped ability with technology and her mother a slight telekinetic energy -mostly she breaks glasses on accident when angry.
  
• moved from north dakota to south dakota at the age of three. doesn't really remember it. the family moved because rian's job moved. he followed it.
  
• was always thought to have had a slightly overly charismatic pull. her grandmother was an empath, though no certain signs have shown up yet.
  
• started accidentally moving and breaking things when she was really young. her babysitters and teachers thought it was just freak accidents in her classes and house.
  
• is very smart, but hid most of it all through out high school. now attending online classes and college in the next town over and is working at a local coffee shop.
  
• met --- --- edwards very young, and have been best friends ever since they met. nova and edwards were best friends back before edwards became so cold and bitchy. nova is the sweet one, but edwards was always the one with the guys and the sex appeal.
  
• graduated with almost a full ride scholarship and an unreasonably high gpa. loves school, but wants a better education in an ivy league and is saving up to leave to harvard or somewhere else.
  
• still talks to her parents though they refuse to talk about her leaving summertown.
